When I saw your photos of the 17th Mar I had no idea what the object was.  Some brief notes would have been helpful.  This is exactly why we need a 'finds table' at club meeting.

I didnt like to say it was a Roman brooch in case it was a window catch. Wasnt expecting Roman to come up. 

I was watching a video of an archaeological dig last night and a guy found a Roman brooch that looked the same as  mine but in better condition. He said its a 1st-2nd century T shaped brooch. Will see what the FLO says 

I also found another couple of bits that i had no idea what they were. Was looking yesterday and looks like one is a Roman toggle ( https://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/1082526) and the other looks like a part of a Celtic/Roman clothes fastener. The FLO will tell me what they are when i see him. If they are both Roman finds found in the next field to the brooch maybe theres more there. I live in hope anyway.
